Compliance Challenges in New York City’s Targeting of the Restaurant Industry
Join our guest speakers from Littler’s Workplace Policy Institute, a Restaurant Law Center Partner, as they discuss a number of recent New York City ordinances that negatively affect our industry. These new rules range from mandates that significantly reduce some restaurants’ flexibility in crafting schedules to forcing certain establishments to set up systems to allow for payroll deductions that would go to union-related organizations. Our guests will discuss pending legal challenges to the City’s anti-business ordinances and will also touch upon what the future may hold regarding the proposed “just cause” legislation.
