Extended Producer Responsibility

The RLC monitors extended producer responsibility (EPR) legislation and regulations because of their impact on restaurant operating costs, packaging choices, supply chains, and regulatory compliance obligations. As states continue to expand EPR programs, restaurants and foodservice operators face increased costs and operational challenges associated with complex packaging regulation and waste management policies.
